Luke Frendo
Luke started his career with Deutsche Bank, in London, within the Risk department. During that time, which spanned across two crises (2008/2009 and 2011) he worked within the credit risk team covering European financial institutions, supra-nationals and Southern EU countries. He graduated from the University of Malta with a Doctorate in Laws, submitting a thesis on the ‘Regulation of Risk in Banking’, and from the University of London (Royal Holloway) with an MSc in International Business Management. Luke was admitted to the Maltese bar in 2013. He sits on the board of a global tech company, seeing its annual revenue increase almost threefold to $500m since joining. In 2020, the Group was sold to Blackstone for $3bn. He is responsible for the Private Client team at Frendo Advisory, and his clients primarily include high-net worth individuals and families from the Middle East and Asia. Luke was named as the “Best in Breed” in the 2021 2022 and 2023 Spears 500 list, an annual publication that covers the top individuals in the private client sector in the UK and internationally. He is the only named individual for Malta.
